NUCLEAR PROFESSIONALS

Project design and management training for the
Nuclear industry

Welcome to K&K

K&K and its network prides itself in providing Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) to support its new and exisiting contracts, in addition to supporting, training and developing new and exisiting security personnel into the UK nuclear industry.

The UK nuclear industry is facing major challenges. Great British Nuclear (GBN) is the government delivery body for new nuclear and there is a push for the development of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to help deliver net zero and promote energy security. Other multi-billion-pound schemes are planned, and it is evident that there is a significant skills gap.

There are numerous opportunities and development areas within the nuclear industry for individuals who already work within the nuclear sector, are new to nuclear or who have transferable skills.

Having a resilient supply chain with the required capabilities and capacity to meet the demands is crucial to the industry’s success. This is particularly the case within the world of nuclear security. Some individuals may feel there are barriers which can have the effect of restricting opportunities to develop personnel within the industry or discourage individuals to start their career or transition across. The nuclear industry is an exciting and fulfilling place to work. There is a need to create a culture where individuals feel they can transition into nuclear or start their chosen nuclear career, which in turn provides opportunities which are more accessible across industry and the supply chain.

Here at K&K our first steps in supporting the nuclear industry will be through identifying and co-ordinating resources. We recognise that our network of consultants and trainers can operate across many industries. Likewise, professionals from other industries will have the necessary skills to work in the nuclear industry.

Our resources come from a wide range of backgrounds, whether that be from the K&K team or from our ever-developing network. Our vision is to provide SQEP consultants and as progress is made in the world of nuclear, we can begin to develop people who are keen to start their careers in nuclear, transition into nuclear or develop their existing skills in support of the nuclear security industry which in turn increases our network.

‘A lack of nuclear or nuclear security experience does not mean there is a barrier to having a fulfilling career in the nuclear industry, individuals can learn,  develop and bring a new perspective to the nuclear industry and nuclear security’.
